Archies Tropical Cuisines

I had the curry shrimp with rice and peas and cabbage and a mac & cheese. Everything was so good so hot fresh. I love the curry shrimp.

I hardly ever leave reviews but felt inclined to do so after my first experience at Archie’s. I placed an order over the phone around 8:40pm, twenty minutes before they closed. The woman who took my order was so jovial and kind. I arrived around 8:55 and was greeted with the same positive energy. I ordered the oxtails, Mac and cheese along with rice and peas. I have family from Jamaica and have had my fair share of oxtails in the Charlotte area and beyond. These are by far the best that I’ve had in NC. They were tender, flavorful and slightly spicy. The gravy was also delicious and spread generously over the rice. The same can be said about the Mac and cheese. Some of the best I’ve had. I was mostly impressed by how fresh the food still was, even though they were preparing to close for the evening. This was an incredible meal, one you should try if you’re ever in the area. I’ll be back soon to try other options. Thanks y’all!

Most definitely a 10/10 food was very flavorful and cooked fresh. The people where very friendly and helpful for my 1st time eating their. I will definitely be returning.

Someone highly recommend Archie's Tropical Cuisines to my wife and I and it was an awesome dining experience. The staff and owner was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. The environment is clean, well decorated, and quite attractive. The food was tasty and delicious to say the least. We can hardly wait to visit again and highly recommend that you do.

I’m so happy that this place was recommended to me. Let’s just start with how when you walk in you get a cool shot of air! It’s hot and instantly that just helps cool you off. A understated blessing! The restaurant is so clean! The restrooms clean! You can tell they take pride in their establishment. Now to the food... I have not had Jamaican food so authentic off the island in my life!!! EVERYTHING is seasoned. I had the oxtail and baby it was falling off the bone. Food fresh!!! Hot and steamy. No reheated nothing. The portion size is enormous. Two meals or feed two people. I will be a frequent patron.

The absolute best Jamaican food in NC. Period!! Chimetime said it was as well and he was right! They don’t miss!! I dare you to take the drive if you love Jamaican food!! You won’t be disappointed.

To say this food was awesome would be an understatement!!! I would definitely revisit next time I’m in Salisbury or near by. The staff was soooo sweet we had to wait a little bit so I went to sit in the car w/ my mom it was raining very hard & the lady behind the counter brought our food out to the car for us. The atmosphere is so chill, all the customers that were dining in were regulars & you most definitely got that vibe by the communication between the staff & customers, really friendly atmosphere. The food was fresh, seasoned well & worth the wait!!!

This was my first time at Archie's and definitely won't be my last! I had the brown stew chicken, cabbage, and yellow rice. All delicious! Candy and her buddy behind the counter were super helpful! I'll be back!!!
